The following crimes were reported in Mt. Airy from November 8 to November 14, 2008.

THEFT FROM AUTO,ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT
November 8: 500 block Carpenter Ln. – Rear driver’s side window of 2002 Subaru Impala broken. Taken was laptop computer.
November 9: 300 block West Hortter St., 12 a.m. – Complainant stated that offender was stopped at location due to being in the area of  recent burglary. When police talked to offender he allegedly gave several different stories as to where he acquired items he was carrying. Upon further investigation, police believe that suspect had broken into complainant’s vehicle and had taken items. Suspects arrested. Items recovered.
November 14: 500 block Gorgas Ln. – License plate removed from 1998 Volvo Wagon.
November 14: 500 block East Gorgas Ln. -  License plate removed from 1998 Chevy Trailblazer.

STOLEN AUTO
November 13: 7000 block Lincoln Dr. – Green 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis stolen.

BURGLARY
November 10: 300 block Vernon Rd. – Complainant returned to location to find items missing and entry gained through rear door. Taken were TV, Fuji digital camera, Kodak camera, Compaq laptop, X-Box with controllers and Playstation PSP.
November 12: 200 block East Johnson St. – Complainant returned home to find items missing from location. Taken were Panasonic TV and DVD player.
November 13: 6600 block Germantown Ave., 9:10 p.m. – Police arrived at location in response to burglary alarm. Police noticed suspect inside of location. Suspect was later searched and was allegedly carrying complainant’s power tools. Suspect arrested.
November 14: 1000 block West Hortter St. – Police responded to location for tripped burglary alarm. Police found back kitchen door window broken and door open. Taken was Dell laptop.

THEFT
November 8: 400 block East Washington Ln., 11:30 a.m. – Complainant stated that unknown person took his TransPass and cash from his coat pocket.
November 9: 7200 block Germantown Ave., 2:32 a.m. – Complainant stated that offender took items from counter area and fled. Taken were Army-style jacket, wallet, credit cards and ID.
November 9: 500 block Carpenter Ln. – Suspect was stopped carrying items that did not allegedly belong to him. Police were unable to contact complainant. Suspect arrested.
November 10: 100 block Pleasant St. – Complainant stated that acquaintance allegedly took cash from apartment without permission.

ROBBERY
November 11: Germantown Ave. and Pleasant St., 8:56 p.m. – Complainant stated that offenders approached her, allegedly began to punch and shake her and pushed her into lightpole. Offenders then allegedly took complainant’s purse, at which point complainant followed suspects to  6800 block of Musgrave St. Suspects later arrested, purse and contents recovered.
November 14: 7100 block Stenton Ave. – complainant approached by  offender who said “Give it up, old head.” Offender pretended that he had concealed weapon, threatened offender with it. Offender then allegedly grabbed complainant’s arm and they started to fight. Complainant dropped a silver steak knife, which offender picked up. Complainant fled from offender who was apprehended with knife found on his person. Suspect arrested.
November 14: 6300 block Milton St., 6:30 p.m. – Complainant stated that offender snatched her glasses from off of her face, took her pocketbook and fled inside location. Complainant stated that offender came back out and started pushing her toward the house. Complainant able to run from struggle. No injuries.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
November 10: 100 block West Allens Ln., 3 p.m. – Complainant stated that offender, operating a Chevy, was parked illegally in private parking lot. When offender was asked to leave lot, offender used vehicle to push complainant out of the way, knocking him down.
November 11: 6800 block Musgrave St., 9:05 p.m. – Police stated that offenders allegedly obstructed a robbery investigation. Police were chasing different suspects into location when offenders allegedly struck police. Offenders also allegedly resisted  arrest.
