The following crimes were reported in Mt. Airy from December 6 to December 12, 2008.

THEFT FROM AUTO,ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT
December 7: 7100 block Crittenden St., 4:58 a.m. – Front passenger’s side window of 2007 Ford truck broken. Taken were iPod and briefcase.
December 7: Tires and wheels removed from 2007 Cadillac Escalade.
December 7: 200 block West Upsal St. – Passenger’s side door lock of 2000 Dodge Ram broken. Vehicle entered, radio system removed.
December 8: 600 block West Upsal St. – 2004 Nissan Murano left unlocked. Taken were GPS system and change.
December 8: 300 block Meehan St. – Right front window of 2006 Cadillac Escalade broken. Taken were brass tube, radio accessory and iPod.
December 9: 6300 block Sherman St. – Rear window of vehicle broken. Vehicle entered but nothing taken.
December 9: 6300 block Sherman St. – Front passenger’s side window of 2004 Jeep Cherokee broken. Paperwork strewn about, unknown what was taken.
December 9: 6300 block Gardenia St., 6:30 p.m. – Lock broken on vehicle, vehicle paperwork taken.
December 10: 6300 block Greene St. - Passenger’s side window of 2006 Mazda broken.  Headphones, MP3 player and CDs taken.
December 11: 100 block East Gowen Ave. – Front window of 2000 Chevy broken. Taken was Targa top.
December 12: Unit block West Gowen Ave. – Tires removed from 2006 Cadillac.
December 12: 6300 block Greene St. - Passenger’s side window of vehicle broken. Unknown what was taken.
December 12: 6300 block Greene St. – Front passenger’s side window of 1997 Mazda broken. Nothing taken.

STOLEN AUTO
December 7: 6600 block Blakemore St. – Black 2004 Hyundai Sonata stolen.

BURGLARY
December 6: 100 block West Allens Ln. – Complainant returned home to find glass of kitchen window broken. Entry gained. Large Oriental rug taken.
December 7: 6900 block Crittenden St., 9:39 a.m. – Complainant stated that offender broke patio sliding door and gained entry to location. Offender fled northbound on Crittenden St. Nothing taken.
December 9: 100 block East Duval St., 11 p.m. – Complainant stated he received phone call from family members who said offender was attempting to break into location. Complainant arrived to find offender allegedly attempting to gain entry through back window. Upon police arrival, police found complainant and suspect fighting. Suspect arrested.
December 9: 6700 block Greene St. – Complainant returned to location to find that entry had been gained through first floor bathroom window. Vending machine was broken into, taken was a small amount of change.
December 10: 600 block West Johnson St. – Complainant stated that acquaintance allegedly took jewelry from location without permission.
December 10: 6800 block Chew Ave. – Complainant returned to location to find that lock box was missing. No signs of forced entry. Also taken were refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave.
December 12: 6700 block Germantown Ave., 10 a.m. – Police responded to location for report of breaking and entering. There were signs of forced entry but nothing appeared to be taken.
December 12: 6700 block Emlen St., 2 p.m. – Complainant returned home to find alleged offender in his apartment without permission.

THEFT
December 6: 100 block Meehan Ave. – Complainant alleged that acquaintance took cash from location without permission.
December 7: 6500 block Belfield Ave. – Complainant alleged that family membertook items from wallet without permission. Taken were bankcard, credit card and cash.
December 9: 7700 block Lincoln Dr. – Metal downspout taken from location.
December 9: 7700 block Lincoln Dr. – Copper piping taken from location.
December 10: 7000 block Lincoln Dr. – Complainant stated that offender allegedly left store without paying for items. Suspect later stopped and arrested.
December 11: 6400 block Greene St., 9 p.m. – Complainant stated that items were taken from his room without permission.  Taken were heal insurance card, Social Security card, senior citizens transit card, and bank card book.
December 12: 630 0block Greene St. – Complainant stated that unknown offender took items from location without permission. Taken were wallet, driver’s license, PFCU debit card, debit card, medical cards, assorted gift cards, and cash.

ROBBERY
December 10: Stenton Ave. and Vernon Rd., 1:30 p.m. – Complainant approached by group of offenders who punched him several times in face, kicked him when he fell to ground. Samsung call phone taken.
December 10: 6300 block Stenton Ave., 12 a.m. – Complainant struck by offender struck him in back of head with unknown object. Taken were briefcase, wallet and cell phone.
December 11: 200 block West Upsal St., 7:55 p.m. – Complainant approached by offender who grabbed bag from her shoulder and fled. Family member gave chase until offender pulled out a silver handgun on him.
December 12: 6300 block Germantown Ave., 6:40 a.m. – Complainant approaced by offender who pulled handgun, demanded  money. Complainant complied, at which point offender fired four shots from what turned out to be pellet gun and fled with wallet and cash.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
December 6: 100 block East Hortter St., 1:02 a.m. – Complainant alleged that acquaintance was intoxicated, cut complainant on neck and middle finger with knife, threw  barbeque grill at him.
December 10: 6300 block Chew Ave., 12:53 p.m. – Complainant alleged that acquaintance hit complainant with a  car Club.
