THEFT FROM AUTO, ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT January 5: 300 block West Hortter St. - Rear driver’s side window of 2004 Ford Explorer broken. Taken were Christmas presents, and box of cigars. January 5: 200 block West Duval St. - Rear driver’s side window of 2001 Nissan Xterra broken. Two pair of sneakers taken. January 7: 100 block West Mt. Pleasant Ave. – Front passenger’s side window of 2003 Dodge broken. Taken was Toshiba laptop. January 7: 1300 block Barringer St. – Rear passenger’s side window of vehicle broken. Unknown what was taken. January 8: West Sedgwick St. and Cresheim Rd. – Passenger’s side windows of vehicle broken. Taken were wallet, Social Security card, and various credit cards. STOLEN AUTO January 4: 200 block Montana St., 4 p.m. – Black 2001 Toyota Highlander stolen. BURGLARY January 2: 200 block Rosemary Ln. - Location entered through unknown means. Taken were jewelry, school bags and boots. January 4: 600 block Park Ln. – Complainant returned home to find entry gained through front door. Taken were box of checks, women’s underwear and lingerie, car keys, pocketbook, Nintendo Game Cube, DVD player, Playstation, tennis bracelet, heart necklace with diamonds, pocketbook. January 5: 7200 block Wissahickon Ave., 5:55 a.m. – Police observed that entry had been gained through second floor bedroom. Taken were gold bracelet, gold necklace and a pair of emerald earrings. January 5: 6300 block Milton St., 2 p.m. – Complainant returned to location to find basement door unlocked and items missing. No signs of forced entry. Taken were surround sound system, hair dryer, curling iron and cash. January 5: 500 block East Johnson St., 8:55 a.m. – Complainant stated that he heard a loud bang in his apartment. Upon investigation, complainant saw unknown offender standing in his living room. Offender fled eastbound on Johnson St. on foot. Complainant later noticed pry marks on front door. January 5: 500 block East Johnson St. – Complainant stated that unknown offender gained entry to location. No signs of forced entry. Taken were silver bracelets, diamond earrings, silver earrings, and cash. January 6: 6400 block Sprague St., 8 a.m. – Complainant stated that family member allegedly pointed a silver semiautomatic handgun at his chest. THEFT January 6: Unit block West Washington Ln. – Complainant returned to location to find 9mm Ruger handgun missing. ROBBERY January 2: Cherokee and West Duval sts., 7:38 p.m. - Complainant stated that he was parked at corner of location when offender allegedly approached him, pointed handgun at him, entered passenger’s side door, demanded money. Offender then allegedly made complainant drive from location to get more money. Complainant got in accident at Green and Duval sts., alleged offender fled westbound on Green St. Suspect stopped on Chelten Ave. and arrested. January 4: Washington Ln. and Chew Ave., 3:30 p.m. – Complainant stated that he was approached by offenders who asked what complainant had in his pockets. Scuffle ensued. Complainant was stabbed in left side of torso. Offenders fled, nothing taken. Complainant taken to hospital for treatment. January 4: 6700 block Germantown Ave. – Complainant stated that offender entered location, placed a knife to neck of complainant’s family member and demanded money from register. Offender fled northbound on Germantown Ave. with cash. AGGRAVATED ASSAULT January 2: 1300 block East Johnson St., 3:43 p.m. - Complainant stated that offenders jumped him in the back of location. Offenders proceeded to punch and stomp on complainant. Complainant taken to hospital for treatment.
