The following crimes were reported in Mt. Airy from January 9 to January 15, 2009.

THEFT FROM AUTO, ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT
January 9: 1000 block West Hortter St. – Entry gained to 2004 Volvo SW. Items from inside vehicle were scattered around the driveway. Nothing taken. No signs of forced entry.
January 11: 6600 block Musgrave St. – 1998 Ford left unlocked. Taken were cell phone ear piece, CD, workout bag and equipment.

STOLEN AUTO
January 11: 6700 block Musgrave St. – Complainant stated that acquaintance allegedly took her purse without permission. Purse contained keys to complainant’s vehicle. When complainant returned home, 1993 Honda Accord was missing.
January 15: 6900 block Ardleigh St. – 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser stolen.

BURGLARY
January 9: 600 block West Sedgwick St. – Complainant returned to location to find  laundry room window broken. Nothing taken.
January 9: 6400 block Greene St. – Entry gained to rear door of apartment. Damage done to front and back door and locks. Witness stated that she heard voices coming from inside location between 10 and 11 a.m. Taken were Xbox, Playstation, lap top, desktop, TV, diamond rings, gold bracelet, Canon camera, and Sony CD player and speakers.
January 10: 300 block West Johnson St. – Location entered through bathroom window, taken were Nintendo Wii, TV, clothes and boots.
January 12: 600 block Wadsworth Ave. – Complainant returned home to find back door ajar and drawers open. Nothing taken.
January 12: 100 block Meehan Ave. – Complainant returned home to find front door forced open. Taken were Social Security card, bank statements and foreign cash.
January 13: 6400 block Germantown Ave. – Complainant returned home to find items missing from location. No signs of forced entry. Taken were stainless steel microwave, refrigerator and stove, and dishwasher.
January 14: 6300 block Morton St. – complainant returned home to find front door broken, but no signs of damage on main door. Entry gained, taken was Panasonic TV.

THEFT
January 12: 100 block East Johnson St. – Complainant stated that someone took cell phone from his jacket while it was stored at recreation center.
January 12: 7000 block Germantown Ave., no time given. – Complainant stated  he observed offenders allegedly attempting to shoplift from location. Suspects arrested.
January 14: 7000 block Lincoln Dr., no time given. – Complainant stated that he observed offender allegedly placing cameras and various household items into his pockets and down his pants. Offender then allegedly attempted to pay for separate items with a fraudulent check. Suspect arrested.

ROBBERY
None reported this time period.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
None reported this time period.
