THEFT FROM AUTO,ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT January 16: 200 block East Sedgwick St. – Driver’s side window of 2003 Nissan Murano broken. Taken was loose change. January 16: 100 block East Sedgwick St. – Passenger’s side vent of 2006 Toyota Highlander broken. Vehicle ransacked. Nothing taken. January 16: 200 block Sydney St. – Passenger’s side window of 2008 Nissan Altima broken. Vehicle ransacked. Nothing taken. January 16: 100 block East Sedgwick St. – Entry gained to 2002 Dodge in unknown manner. Vehicle ransacked, nothing taken. January 17: Unit block East Sedgwick St. – Front passenger’s side window of 2001 Toyota Camry broken. GPS systems taken. January 18: 400 block East Durham St. – Passenger’s side window of 2005 Honda broken. Taken were DVD player and DVDs. January 18: 7300 block Devon St. – Front window of 2003 Audi broken. Nothing taken. January 18: 400 block East Mt. Pleasant Ave. – Rear passenger’s side window of 2007 Cadillac broken. Taken were CDs, glasses. January 18: 7100 block Anderson St. – Front passenger’s side window of 2005 Nissan broken. Nothing taken. January 18: 6800 block Gorsten St. – Rear passenger’s side window of 2003 Toyota broken. Nothing taken. January 18: 500 block East Gorgas Ln. – Passenger’s side window of 2005 Nissan broken. Taken were cash and vehicle registration card. January 18: 7200 block Boyer St. – Front driver’s window of 2007 Subaru broken. Nothing taken. January 19: 500 block Gorgas Ln. – Entry gained to vehicle in unknown manner. Change taken. January 21: 200 block East Sedgwick St. – Passenger’s side window of 2006 BMW broken. Taken were six pair of dress pants. STOLEN AUTO January 17: Unit block Montana St., 5:40 p.m. – Complainant left 2001 Chevy Impala unattended and running. When he returned it was missing. BURGLARY January 17: 7400 block Boyer St. – Entry gained to location through side door. TV taken. January 17: 1000 block West Upsal St., 5:56 p.m. – Police responded to burglar alarm, conducted a walkthrough with negative results. Complainant returned and stated that jewelry box and jewelry items had been taken. Police found entry gained through rear door. January 17: 100 block East Duval St., 5:39 p.m. – Police arrived at location to find entry had been gained through front door. Second floor bedroom door had been taken off the hinges. Cash taken from drawer in bedroom. January 22: 400 block Wadsworth Ave., 10:45 a.m. – Complainant heard footsteps coming from downstairs living room. Complainant asked who was down there. When she reached the bottom of the steps she observed offender exiting through living room window. Nothing taken. January 22: 400 block Wadsworth Ave. – Residence entered through basement window, laptop taken. January 22: 300 block West Allens Ln. – Complainant returned home to find rear door open and the contents of two boxes scattered on the ground in the back yard. Diamond ring taken. THEFT January 21: 100 block West Sharpnack St., 8 p.m. – Complainant’s access card taken in unknown manner. January 22: 6800 block Germantown Ave., 1:16 p.m. – Complainant alleged that offender entered location, attempted to take toothpaste and deodorant without paying. Suspect arrested. ROBBERY January 18: Chew Ave. and Montana St., 9:30 a.m. – Offender approached complainant, demanded belongings, produced silver handgun and shot him once in right arm. Nothing taken. Complainant taken to hospital. AGGRAVATED ASSAULT None reported this time period. TOWN HALL MEETING The Northwest Police Division 14th District and Operations Safe Streets will be hosting a town meeting on February 26 starting at 6 p.m. at the 14th Police District, 43 West Haines Street.
