Suspicious Behavior on Sherman St PDF  | Print |  E-mail

This sounded very odd. 911 was called twice.

At about 9pm Saturday night a neighbor, female living alone, had her
doorbell rung. A man was at the door and stated he was from Upsal
Street and wanted to know if she needed her leaves cleaned up. She
has hardly any leaves on her yard. From the incident last week (where
the woman was robbed from a man ringing a doorbell
shortly after being observed taking in groceries), me and the
neighbor both called 911. The person was described as African American
in his twenties with a red baseball cap.

The police came right out and were very suspicious and had
two cars looking for this guy. Also, my neighbors yard is
about as spotless as you could imagine. No leaves anywhere.
She and the cops think the line about being a neighbor from
Upsal was made up. She spoke to him through a locked
screen/storm door. Everyone on our block thinks a man
looking for yard work at a home with a single female at nine
at night with a house with impeccable landscaping is more
than fishy. It was too similar to the guy who robbed the
woman with the groceries a week or so before.
