The following crimes were reported in Mt. Airy from August 17 to August 22, 2008.

THEFT FROM AUTO, ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT
August 17: 100 block E. Cliveden Street – Complainant stated that an unknown person took Kodak digital camera and two folding chairs from his blue 2007 Ford Edge by breaking rear passenger window.
August 17: 300 block E. Gorgas La. – Complainant stated that unknown offender damaged lock on his 1994 Chevy Lumina, took Alpine radio.
August 18: 600 block Hortter Pl. – Complainant stated that unknown person removed four factory tires from white Cadillac Escalade.
August 18: Chew Ave. and Montana St. – Complainant stated that when she returned to her parked car, an unknown person had removed her wallet.
August 20: 6700 Anderson St. – Complainant stated that unkown person ripped grill off 1998 Lincoln Navigator and stole radio, flat screen TV, amplifier.
August 20: 200 block Slocum St. – Complainant stated that unknown person broke right front window of 1993 teal Nissan Quest, took wallet and Hollywood Video card.
August 22: 400 block E. Allens La. – Complainant stated that unknown person allegedly took credit cards out of vehicle. No  signs of forced entry. Suspect arrested later for unrelated incident.
August 22: 7100 block Sprague St. – Complainant stated that unknown person broke passenger side of 2007 Dodge and took GPS system.
August 22: 1100 block E. Washington La. – Complainant stated that unknown person took Cadillac rims and tires off his vehicle without permission.
August 22: Unit block Westview Ave. – Complainant stated that unknown person broke into his truck and stole radio, GPS system.

STOLEN AUTO
August 17: 6600 block Ross St. – Complainant stated that she awoke to find her silver 2006 Kia Optima missing.

BURGLARY
August 20: 300 block Wellesley Rd. – Complainant stated that unknown person gained entry, maybe through front or rear door that was open and took bracelets, watch, Nikon camera, video cameras.No forced entry.
August 19: 900 block E. Johnson St. – Complainant stated that unknown person took Nintendo Wii, two Wii games and Wii control from her apartment. No signs of forced entry.

THEFT
August 17: 100 block E. Durham St. – Complainant stated that unknown person took metal ladder from backyard.
August 17: 200 block E. Gorgas La. – Complainant stated that unknown person stole Trek mountain bike.
August 17: 700 block Westview Ave. – Complainant stated that offender took his bike and fled, No force used.
August 21: 100 block E. Mt. Airy Ave. – Complainant stated that offender took two hanging Tron light fixtures off property.

ROBBERY
August 19: E. Gorgas La. and Boyer St. – Complainant stated that offenders told him to get on the ground and complainant refused. First offender punched complainant, knocking him to ground.Second  offender went through complainant’s pockets, taking Razor cell phone and cash. Offenders fled northbound on Boyer St.
August 20: Stenton and Mt. Airy aves. – Complainant stated that offender took wallet from his hand as he was taking money out of it. Stolen along with wallet were three ID cards and cash.
August 21: W. Weaver and Emlen sts. – Complainant stated that he stopped to talk to a friend when offender punched him in head causing him to fall. Offender then went through complainants pockets, took ID and credit cards.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
August 19: 6300 block Crittenden St. – Complainant stated that offender allegedly grabbed her by the neck and choked her to the point of being unable to breath. Offender also allegedly hit her in leg with bat. Suspect later arrested.
August 20: 200 block E. Cliveden St. – Complainant stated that there was a disturbance between her friends and another group of juveniles when offender cut her with a box-cutter or razor. Complainant taken to hospital.
